In depth

Verdict

Zig Zag Zyggy keeps changing stables but continues to win races and took advantage of soft ground over the track and trip last month. He had several of these behind including Chessman and Sounds Of Spring, though the latter didn't get the best of runs and can reverse the places on better terms. Ecclesiastical had been in excellent form at Dundalk before a fine run in a better race than this at the Curragh but all were over the minimum trip. COILL AVON, the only three-year-old in the race, looked one to follow when landing a Curragh maiden and, though unable to cope with Group 3 company there next time, appears to be starting off on a fair mark and can beat his elders.
