Verdict
Carriganog completed a hurdles double last October then ran in much better company though a bad mistake put paid to his chances on his chasing bow at Gowran. One Cool Shabra has been very highly tried and though this is a more reasonable level he's up against some potentially useful rivals. The lightly-raced Sizing Codelco looks a progressive type and was fancied to give the useful Valseur Lido a run at Punchestown but fell five out. CLARCAM proved himself a tremendous juvenile hurdler with a close second to Guitar Pete in the Grade 1 championship event at Aintree a highlight. He had no answer to the very classy Vautour on his chasing bow here last month but can go one better though Un Beau Roman looks a real threat. He couldn't quite cope with the classy Chancol in a Grade 2 at Punchestown but his overall form puts him right in the picture though the concession of 15lb to the selection may just prove beyond him.
