Verdict
Alan King's Incursion, a useful performer from limited opportunities on the level made an encouraging start to his hurdling career when second at Newton Abbot and is taken to go one better at the main expense of Tizi Ouzou and Papini. The last mentioned was a maiden on the level in Germany but only had three starts, the latest of which was in a Group 3 contest over 1m2f. Now in the care of Nicky Henderson, who is beginning to hit form, the son of Lomitas has to be respected. Martin Pipe's Tizi Ouzou was only plating class on the flat but already looks better over timber having made a winning start to her hurdling career at Ludlow. She is likely to find this tougher, especially under her penalty. Nerys Dutfield's Avesomeofthat has the benefit of experience but is held by the selection on running at Newton Abbot and is difficult to recommend. None of the others make much appeal in a race that should go to Incursion, who is taken to step up on his debut form.
