In depth

Verdict

Some interesting types go to post for this novices hurdle and the market may well tell all but the principals look to be Celtic Son, Some Timbering and Continental and the vote goes to Some Timbering. The selection was a good second behind Darjeeling despite been hampered last time. That horse has since ran well in defeat in a better race and under conditions that suit he is taken to score. Celtic Son rates the main danger he was a never nearer fifth behind Salsalino last time and is sure to improve for the step up to this trip. Continental appeared not to stay the trip when fourth behind Patches over two miles six furlongs last time and should be suited by the drop back to this distance. Syncopated Rhythm was a fair third behind Smart Mover last time, is sure to have learnt from the experience and is another with place claims. Of the remainder State Of Play is a bumper winner that is sure to have been well schooled for this his hurdling debut and is worth noting in the market but for the winner we return to Some Timbering.
