        Verdict

        Nicky Henderson has a good strike rate with his staying handicappers on the Flat and is taken to add to the score with Bid For Fame. The son of Quest For Fame ended last term in excellent fashion with back-to-back wins at Kempton and over course and distance and is just 3lb higher for this return so makes plenty of appeal with Kieren Fallon booked for the ride. Random Quest is a thorough stayer who is on a fair mark having lost his way towards the end of last term and can't be dismissed lightly off a handy mark while Valiant Effort and Romany Prince are unexposed types who may be open to further progress this season. King Flyer has a fitness advantage having shaped well on his return at Nottingham earlier in the month while Herodotus has a touch of class and also enters calculations if staying this trip which he tries for the first time.
