Verdict
With Henry Cecil's Floreeda and Clive Brittain's Heavenly Bay becoming frustrating, not to mention expensive to follow, the vote goes to Approach although the lack of a recent run is a concern. That said Sir Mark Prescott has his string in much better form right now and, as the top-rated horse on official BHB ratings and with improvement to come for the step up in trip, Approach has plenty going for her. Floreeda is a half-sister to Oaks winner Love Divine but Henry Cecil's filly has yet to live up to her early promise and a bigger threat to the selection may come from Heavenly Bay, who finished third in Lingfield's Oaks Trial last time. Flying Wanda, who finished last of the eight at Lingfield, needs to improve on her showing there and the lightly raced Miss Ivanhoe may be the best of the remainder.
