Verdict

Chateau gave a fair account of himself in the Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot but it was hard not to be impressed by the debut of ROGUE LIGHTNING at Newmarket and there is surely more to come from Tom Clover’s charge. Believing participated in a particularly hot maiden on debut and is in receipt of the fillies allowance this afternoon. Cold Case dotted up in a contest at York that was heavy in numbers though arguably lacking in quality. Legend Of Xanadu has been robustly campaigned and ran far too freely in the Chesham having scored stylishly at Epsom in his previous outing.
