Verdict
Manama Rose is probably the safest option here, but both newcomers merit respect and the market should prove to be something of a guide. John Gosden introduces Design Perfection on a course where he traditionally does well in this type of race. This beautifully bred Diesis filly, out of a mare by Sadler's Wells, could easily prove above average and the market could provide some clues, as it could with Henry Candy's Holly Hayes, a daughter of Alzao out of a mare by Kris. However, Manama Rose will set a good standard for them both. Gerard Butler's filly was good enough to finish third in a Listed race over this course and distance in June, and while she hasn't quite matched that form in her two subsequent starts, she is still a worthy selection here.
