Verdict
THREAT, a dual Group 2 winner last season, has been taking on top opposition since winning the Champagne Stakes at Doncaster in September on his one and only appearance over this trip. The Cheveley Park colt travelled strongly for a long way in the St James’s Palace Stakes in June and can bounce back to winning ways here. Last year’s winner Glorious Journey has a penalty to carry but can’t be ignored and Surf Dancer has scope for further improvement having beaten Lincoln Bright and favourite Symbolize in a Listed race at York. Dream Of Dreams was second again in the Golden Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot in June but seems best over 6f.
