Verdict

The market may provide the best guide in this potentially informative maiden but KIRTHILL is held in high regard and may be good enough to score on his reappearance. Luca Cumani's colt kept on well in the closing stages when runner-up to Bridgefield at Doncaster in October and is sure to be suited by the extra furlong here. Discovery Bay should win races this year while Laajooj and Ringstead Bay can improve on debut efforts on the all-weather. Change The Subject and Crimson Knight are well-bred newcomers to watch out for this summer and it will also be interesting to see how The Queen's Plimsoll Line shapes on his introduction to the track, though he may not come into his own until tackling longer trips.
