Pagan Crest can be a sporting pick ahead of Dahaaleez and Zizou. Amanda Perrett has had few two-year-old runners this year but they have not been disgraced and at the likely odds, Pagan Crest could be a value selection. Six furlongs should be far enough for him as a half-brother to the useful sprinter Intrepid Jack. Dahaaleez is likely to be popular given Marcus Tregoning's high strike rate at the track. A half-sister to Mujahid; anything achieved today will be a bonus. Zizou looks the pick of the Channon runners. There are plenty of two-year-old winners in his family although his father was more associated with middle distances. Mutwajid's dam was a winner at two years in France so he is watched in the market. Brian Meehan trained last year's winner and he is represented by Calvera. He has only beaten three horses in two starts and more is required here. Paul Cole had a two-year-old winner the other day and Art Market looks a likely type on breeding. Pagan Crest gets the nod.
