In depth
Verdict
Master Robbie has held his form well this year and is taken to take the prize at the main expense of Terraquin while Taranaki and Will He Wish are others to consider. Mick Channon's charge has been well placed to win on four occasions this term including over course and distance and has shown that he remains in excellent order by finishing runner-up on his last two starts in similar company. The Piccolo gelding put up a particularly good effort when chasing home a progressive type over this trip at Sandown earlier in the week and looks sure to give another good account off the same mark. Terraquin goes well for today's rider and the combination bid to follow up a recent Kempton success. However, this is a tougher race and Jamie Toller's colt had little to spare at the finish so may struggle off a 6lb higher mark. Taranaki has a good turn of foot as he showed when a convincing winner over course and distance last month but has shot up the weights as a result and may have to settle for a place while Will He Wish is another who looks in the handicapper's grip at present. Dark Charm will be sharper for his belated return but Master Robbie is a consistent sort who should prove hard to beat.
