Verdict
Scent Of Victory has run well in the face stiff company on his two starts to date and may do even better over this longer trip although the form of his Kempton effort last time has taken a knock since with the winner disappointing at York yesterday. Balerno is a well-bred newcomer by Machiavellian who looks likely to make up in to a useful middle distance type in the furture while both Lishtar and Sasaram are others who are open to plenty of improvement but Michael Maher is the one to beat. The Michael Jarvis-trained colt ran well in minor company at Sandown on his return and should be suited by the extra quarter of a mile here.
