In depth

Verdict

Light Angel was very green in a three-runner race at Doncaster but only beaten a neck and the extra furlong can only be to his benefit. Baadirr cost 180,000gns and his dam has produced winners with her first two foals to race so William Haggas’ Showcasing colt has to go on the short-list but HEAVEN FORFEND looks a likely type on pedigree as well. A son of Frankel, he’s a brother to Seven Heavens who won his first two starts for John Gosden and later enjoyed success in Hong Kong, and a half-brother to the tough Firmament.
