    Verdict

Fantastic Blue goes for the hat-trick in first-time cheekpieces but takes a further step up in grade. Kosciuszko may be running in to form and Kaloor has shown enough to suggest he can win a race like this but Lariat has become hard to place and is definitely better on ground with plenty of give. Koeman has not been at his best this year and was beaten in a three-runner race last time. WHAT A WELCOME is finally back on a winning mark having paid the price for last year’s exploits this season. A drop back in trip may also be in favour of the top weight, who gets the nod.
