        In depth

        Verdict

A tough event in which to crack the safe's code but our stick of dynamite could well be Milly Waters. Mark Brisbourne's filly caused a surprise when winning a valuable sales race at Newmarket last time and comes here in good heart. Bar in mind that horses can suddenly start improving at this time of year while others go backwards. With this in mind, John Dunlop's Motu, Brian Meehan's Only If I Laugh, the first-time blinkered Off Beat, Sweet Pickle and Fictional are among others to consider, while Signor Panettiere has lost his way since looking like a promising sprint prospect earlier in the season. It's tough, but maybe Milly Waters can win again.
