Verdict
A good renewal of the St Simon Stakes and it would be good to see High Accolade end his season with another win. An excellent second in a very good St Leger last time, the colt can be a bit in-and-out but, if in, then has to go well. He comes out best on official ratings ahead of Imperial Dancer, Dubai Success, Compton Bolter, The Whistling Teal and Hilbre Island. The last-named is improving at the right time and gets six pounds from the selection (although he finished well behind him at Goodwood earlier in the year). Place Rouge won the Lancashire Oaks earlier in the campaign but others might have too much toe for her today. while Scott's View's Listed second in Ireland last time reads well but she id often the bridesmaid in these races. The Whistling Teal is a course and distance winner but needs to put a bad run last time well behind him to feature. It might be left to Barry Hill's Dubai Success, a really good-looking son of Sadler's Wells, to give the selection most to do, but we'll stick with High Accolade.
