Verdict
Imphal isn’t badly treated on his final run of last season but is an out-and-out stayer who could get outpaced over this trip. Washington, on the other hand, has only run over 2m so far so will have stamina to prove. Current Mood is a likeable mare and Lord Baddesley won well at Plumpton after a promising second at Chepstow while Peking Rose was successful over 2m4f at Aintree and a winner here last season. WEST BALBOA (NAP) was second in the Grade 1 Challow Hurdle over track and trip last December on only his second outing over timber. It’s a slight concern that he hasn’t raced since but he obviously has bags of potential. Walking On Air is equally unexposed while Porticello was a leading juvenile last term and another running in his first handicap.
