In depth
Verdict
A mark of 95 may not be restricting for Silver Jack in this company and he is selected in preference to Longstone Lass, who is taking her racing well but she appears to have reached her plateau for the time being after falling short in her last couple of outings. Silver Sedge also has claims at the weights and, after a near miss here a fortnight ago, is shortlisted as a further danger. The six-year-old has very few miles on the clock and can pay his way as he gains in experience. However, Silver Jack looks to be the more progressive at this stage and, with he will be a real tough nut to crack if running anywhere near the form of his latest start; which saw him get off the mark on good style. He still has a lot of learning to do but has enough scope to brush aside the 8lb rise in the weights today.
