Verdict
A dour test of stamina suits Sara Monica, who is fancied to follow up her victory at Hexham from late last year; possibly with the most to fear from her old rival Cottam Grange, who weighted to get much closer to the selection this time around. Top weight Tobesure has bits and pieces of form to his name that suggests he can also make a race of it, while Sconced is very fairly treated for this first try at three miles and he is one to monitor closely in the betting market. Irish raider Black Dot Com is also a likely mover in the market, as she has a few traveling expenses to cover. A multiple winner in Irish point-to-points, she is another that will relish every yard of the trip this afternoon. However, Sara Monica is far less exposed and, after such a convincing performance last time out, it seems harsh to desert her in her bid for further glory.
