Verdict
Dizzy In The Head, Proud Native and American Cousin have to form the shortlist here and a chance is taken on the last mentioned. The selection is dropped in grade after being well beaten in a competitive handicap at York last time. However, he had previously gone close to scoring on this track when second behind Speedy James, and with conditions to suit here he will not be far away at the finish. Proud Native finished narrowly behind our selection in that handicap at York, and again there is likely to be little between them. Dizzy In The Head won well on soft ground at Redcar last time but he will not necessarily be suited by this slight drop in trip as he does have a habit of being slowly away in his races. Soaked is always capable of going well in these type of races while Tappit is from a yard in form so is also worth considering. However, for the winner we return to American Cousin.
