Verdict
This is an open race to round off the card but Platinum Charmer, Prairie Sun, Blackthorn and Jake Black look to be the principles and a chance is taken on the last mentioned. The selection found trouble in running in a handicap at Redcar last time when down the field behind Olivia Rose. He will find this much easier and given a bit of luck in running he could offer a bit of value in the race. Platinum Charmer rates the main danger as he wasn't beaten far despite finishing last in a slightly better race than this behind Quarry Island last time. That was actually a decent effort and he will not be far away at the finish here. Prairie Sun won well when defeating Danefonique at Beverley last time and although that form is nothing special he clearly has to be respected. Blackthorn is the other worth considering as he stayed on well behind Red Forest at Pontefract on Friday, but he is not the most reliable and we will stick with Jake Black as our idea of the winner.
