The three that stand out in this two year old affair are Tagula Sunrise, Spy King and Sunset Strip with the vote going to the last named. Sunset Strip steps back up in trip after his defeat at Salisbury last time out and looks a versatile individual. He was narrowly beaten by an odds on shot on his debut and it was slightly disappointing that he himself was a beaten favourite at Folkstone thereafter. With experience on his side he can make amends today. Of the others mentioned Tagula Sunrise will have her supporters for she managed to finished second in Listed company behind Miss Meggy at Beverley back in June. That was a below par Listed contest though and she was fully exposed in a Class B affair last time out. This is a big drop down in grade and she should be thereabouts but will be no value. Spy King was a good second to Propellor at Hamilton on his debut but the record for horses coming out after running in the first three on their debuts is not a good one and for that reason alone is bypassed. So for the winner we return to Sunset Strip.
