    Verdict

Toni Alcala can once again land the spoils following his recent Musselburgh win with Riyadh, Colorado Falls and Claradotnet all possible dangers. Toni Alcala s win over Western Bluebird was a fine effort and proved he is in fine fettle. He always seems to try his heart out and never knows when to give in. Sure he has risen five pounds for his latest victory and now runs off a lifetime high but we feel he has the ability to progress further. Riyadh ran too disappointing to be true last time out and was fancied to progress from his good second to Manna d¿Argent at Ascot prior to that. It did not happen and his Goodwood run was a lack lustre performance and for that reason is best watched for a while. Colorado Falls has the ability to win but never seems to run consistently. He had a purple patch in May winning over one mile five furlong and then two miles but since then has looked untrustworthy and for that reason is overlooked. Claradotnet has not won since last year but has already showed he has what it takes . His latest run finishing third at Goodwood was a good one and could trouble the judge once again. But for the winner we return to Toni Alcala.
