In depth
Verdict
The 6lb extra for her success at Goodwood may not be enough to stop Dame De Noche in her hat-trick bid and the daughter of Lion Cavern is taken to be too strong for the likes of Bandos, Up Tempo and Bundy here. James Given is carving out a solid reputation with horses of the nature of Dame De Noche and the three-year-old, who seems to handle anything with regard to going, should find this galloping course ideally suits her prominent style of running. Bandos has a theoretical chance at the weights and is better than his latest start would imply, but he does have something to prove after that run and is best watched here. King Harson appeals out of those likely to be available at bigger odds, but he has never won at this trip and is in danger of becoming unreliable. Therefore Dame de Noche looks the safest option despite the fact that she is set to concede in excess of 5lb to her rivals today.
