Verdict
A tough race to call here for punters with very little between many of the leading lights but the principals look to be Lauderdale, Lantern Lad and Mulkev Prince and the vote is given to Lantern Lad. The selection won well last time out when defeating Mikasa and although he has a penalty for that win he won with plenty in hand and with conditions again to suit he will be hard to beat. Lauderdale rates the main danger but he just gave the impression the handicapper had caught up with him when second behind Jericho but his best form is over a shorter trip and for that reason he is opposed. Mulkev Prince is another worthy of respect as he goes well in small fields but he is best when allowed to dominate and with Lauderdale in the field that does not seem likely and for that reason he is opposed. Thorntoun House has dropped to a handy mark and ran as if about to hit form when fourth behind Double You Cubed but he is far from consistent so can not be put forward with any confidence. Of the remainder Brave Lord is from a shrewd yard and has dropped to a handy mark so is worth noting in the market but for the winner we return to Lantern Lad.
