    Verdict

A winner at Newmarket during the summer, THE TRADER showed further progress when beaten less than a length over today’s trip in this grade at Ripon. He may prove good enough despite a lay-off. Stargazer’s earlier success at Haydock came over 1m6f and he’s now 12lb higher while the remainder have been nowhere near their best lately. Amazing Red has been struggling in soft going while Cardano and Nicholas T arrive in poor form though are both back on winning marks
