Verdict
Bambi de L'Orme is taken to beat Green Ideal and newcomer Queen of The South. A winner over hurdles in France, Bambi de L'Orme finished second over fences at Auteuil in November, and has since joined Ian Williams. Although a race or two will tell us more, he has the scope to progress and has been found a suitable opportunity. Green Ideal was good enough to win on the Flat on his debut for Amanda Perrett and went on to score over hurdles at Newbury for Nicky Henderson. Since then he has been hard to place and has failed to impress since embarking on a chasing career with Ferdy Murphy. He should win a run-of-the-mill contest in due course but is opposable here. Queen of The South is an unknown quantity but is sure to have been well schooled by Len Lungo and should not be entirely overlooked. However, Bambi de L'Orme may be a cut above this opposition and is the safest option.
