In depth
Verdict
Exclusionist will be a warm order to beat moderate rivals, the best of whom may be Spell Casting and newcomer Royal Jasra. Jeremy Noseda must have fell about laughing when he saw the quality of the opposition put up against Exclusionist who does surely not have to improve too much to open his account comfortably. The son of In The Wings only weakened in the closing stages when fourth on his Windsor bow back in June, handling the softish ground well in the process. Related to Entrepeneur on the dam's side, he should have little difficulty losing his maiden tag before going on to better things. Spell Casting is best of his older rivals, but is nothing special, and in fact a bigger danger may well be fellow three-year-old Royal Jasra who has every chance of getting this trip on breeding. He could turn out to be useful, but at this stage of proceedings it is best to stick with the proven promise of Exclusionist.
