Verdict
Not the most exciting contest of the day and one that should be fought out by Socialise and Charlottebutterfly, with the vote going to the latter. The filly has improved with each of her three outings to date, most recently when three lengths fourth of seven on firm ground at Yarmouth. Back on good to firm here, things shouldn't go quite as quickly for her and over six furlongs she is taken to get her nose in front. Socialise is sent up by William Haggas, whose runners here always merit respect. The Groom Dancer filly has not been seen out since October and has been given plenty of time to come on at three. Third on both her starts so far, the form of those efforts at Newmarket and Southwell should be good enough to have her challenging for honours here, though a place may again be her best hope. Little else makes any real sort of appeal here, though Business Matters drops back to this trip for the first time since April, having shown some sort of form over it in the past and he could complete the frame, but the vote goes to Charlottebutterfly.
