        Verdict

        Forest Of Dean has raced three times over 7f and steps up in trip for the Gosden yard after going close here in November. But ALMOST MIDNIGHT moves in the opposite direction after winning nicely over 1m4f at Kempton on last month’s debut. The runner-up has subsequently won and David Simcock’s charge is taken to defy a penalty. Three Castles was still beaten a long way when third over a mile here recently while Truckingby showed a big improvement at Wolverhampton but Joe Fanning prefers stablemate and newcomer Autumn Pride, a half-brother to no less than six winners.
