Verdict

Chevalier Errant doesn't seem in the same form as when beating Hurricane Lamp, of a 1lb lower mark back in June, while Nosam is a law unto himself. June's River will need to brush up his jumping if he is to become competitive and Donnybrook will have to turn in a personal best if he is to win off this mark. Pillaging Pict will be far happier back over trip, rather than the two miles at Ayr, but the TEAMtalk selection is Curly Spencer, who was runner-up to The Butterwick Kid at Carlisle, off this mark back in the spring. He confirmed his well being when hacking up over hurdles earlier this month and while his hurdle mark looks set for a hefty rise, his chasing mark remains the same, which makes him appear well handicapped.
