Verdict
As she had done at the Craven meeting, Angel Annie led for much of the way but on this occasion she dropped away tamely from three furlongs out at which point Play That Tune took up the running. The daughter of Zilzal holds an entry in the Coronation Cup and, while she may not be up to that class, Henry Cecil¿s filly was good enough to beat these. However, the way that Marcus Tregoning¿s newcomer Irtahal stuck with the winner suggests that it is the runner-up who is the one to side with should the first two meet again in the near future. El Laoob, another filly making her debut, lost no caste in defeat in third place and should be winning before too long. Red Flame finished a creditable fourth.
