Oasis Star, Dawn Surprise and Peeress are all at the top of their game and we will side with the last named. Sir Michael Stoute's filly followed-up her maiden win at Bath with a workmanlike victory in her first handicap at Thirsk last time. Although she still looked a little green, this being only her third start, she was not unduly hard-pressed to score and she looks open to further improvement. Dawn Surprise is making her handicap debut after demolishing a field of maidens at Salisbury last month. The assessor has put her on a fairly high mark, but she is lightly raced and has much scope for progression. Oasis Star returned to winning ways at Sandown after losing her unbeaten record in the in a very competitive Totesport Silver Bowl at Haydock. She has been well placed by her astute trainer and warrants every respect here. It is a very tricky event with most of these yet to reach their potential, but we will take a chance on Peeress.
