Verdict
The two newcomers to note here are Stream of Gold and Articulation, but the finish may concern Long Road and Flamboyant Lad, with the latter just edging the decision. The Barry Hills trained colt was beaten by stable-mate Crystal Curling on his only juvenile outing, before showing he had wintered well with a very promising third behind King Of Dreams and Keelung at Doncaster in March. Barry has been very patient with this son of Nashwan and he can gain just reward today. Long Road is the obvious danger having finished runner up to three promising types this season. The step up in trip should be beneficial and he will be a tough nut to crack. Any newcomer from the Stoute yard has to be respected so Stream Of Gold, a son of Rainbow Quest, should be monitored closely in the betting. The same applies to Henry Cecil's very smartly bred Articulation, either of these two could be good enough at the first time of asking, but on this occasion we will side with Flamboyant Lad.
