Verdict
Douglas can benefit from the drop into selling company to add to Richard Hannon's score, with Oro Puro, Maggies Choice and Rabitatit likely to make their presence felt as well. Douglas finished a creditable 10th in the Windsor maiden won by Orcadian recently and would have been fancied to open his account before the end of the season in similar company. The immediate plunge into selling class should ensure that victory comes a little sooner, and with Richard Hughes in the plate, the son of Marju will be well fancied in the market. Maggies Choice scraped home in selling company at Wolverhampton but will struggle to repeat the feat. A similar comment applies to Oro Puro, successful in a muddling affair at Beverley a month ago, while Rabitatit made no show in stronger company at Lingfield and will be expected to at least make a race of it with Douglas, who we return to as the pick.
