Verdict

Last years Nunthorpe winner Kingsgate Native is given the vote to land himself a second Group 1 win of the season after breezing home in the Golden Jubilee at Royal Ascot. The selection has gone from strength to strength since last year and although he disappointed in the King's Stand at the Royal meeting, he redeemed himself four days later when beating War Artist into second place. There seems no obvious reason for the last named to reverse the placings and Kingsgate Native will be hard to beat. Marchand D'or is the French raider who ran behind the selection on their last meeting. He ran with credit on that occasion and did well on home turf at Chantilly on his previous outing but whether he can reverse the Royal Ascot form is open to debate. So for the winner we return to KINGSGATE NATIVE.
