Always an ultra-competitive affair and maybe worth going along with KYNREN one more time. The Barron gelding continues to deliver excellent performances in top-notch 7f-1m handicaps and seems sure to run his race yet again and be in the shake-up. A neck defeat at the hands of Cape Byron over this trip at Ascot reads exceptionally well and he ran another good race latest when close fifth in the Hunt Cup. Obviously, dangers abound with Admiralty making plenty of appeal off a decent mark and Ambassadorial one who could improve again after impressing on the all-weather. The key threat though is Solar Gold, placed in Listed grade the last twice, now back into handicap company and more than likely laid out for this particular contest.
