Verdict
The James Fanshawe-trained Solar Power has come up against some useful types up to press but looks worth persevering with here and is selected over the improving Violet Park and Go Between, who both arrive here after confidence boosting wins. Chanterelle ran a better race than the finishing position would suggest on her reappearance and she is another to monitor as the betting takes shape. Cusco would have been given a more solid mention but for being found out over course and distance last time, where she was no match for Solar Power, who will be very hard to beat if putting in a similar effort tonight. Violet Park's chance will have either been boosted or knocked earlier on the card. And how Surreptitious fares in the opener will give the best indication as to whether Brian Meehan's charge has got what it takes to deal with Solar Power at this stage of her career.
