        Verdict

        BARNEY’S BAY finally showed some improvement for a slide down the weights when third at Chester despite a wide draw. Micks Dream will be sharper for a recent second at Salisbury and steps up in trip with Ryan Moore doing the steering while Porfin would have gone close at Lingfield a couple of days ago with a clear run though has yet to win on Turf. Red Evelyn started favourite at Wolverhampton last time but could only manage third.
