Verdict
Ingleton has looked a progressive colt of late and is taken to defy a 7lb penalty for his latest success at York last week and score at the main expense of Personify and Elgin Marbles. The last mentioned is a consistent performer from the Richard Hannon stable that always has to be respected with their runners in this grade. He rates a bigger threat than Ed Dunlop's Ghurra, who was well beaten when tried in a listed race last time and now drops in class. There are several interesting runners further down the weights including Tony Carroll's recent Chepstow winner Our Fugitive, Nerys Dutfield's My Gacho who may be open to more improvement and another Hannon runner Prince Samos for who Kieren Fallon has been booked. Frankie Dettori rides Godolphin's Personify, who is surely better than his form at Chester last time would suggest and has been given a break since then. However, Ingleton won with plenty in hand on his nursery debut and as Bryan McMahon's colt is due to go up 10lbs in future handicaps a 7lb penalty my not be enough to stop him from following up.
