Land Of Legends finished well ahead of Edaraat when runner-up at Yarmouth on his debut and is preferred to stablemate and newcomer Meqdam. But Godolphin are also represented by VELORUM (NAP), second to subsequent 2000 Guineas third Skardu over 7f here in September with a future Group 3 winner back in third. That looks strong form in hindsight and Charlie Appleby’s colt may edge this receiving weight from the penalised Desert Icon.
