Verdict
Unscrupulous gets the call here ahead of King's Caprice, Seneschal, Will He Wish and Law Breaker. Raised five pounds for his Ascot win, Unscrupulous remains on a reasonable mark to our eyes and must surely run a big race tonight. Much as he hasn't had a run this year and the Bunbury Cup could well be on the agenda, he still holds claims tonight. King's Caprice remains competitively weighted, certainly based on his second to Streams Of Gold last October, while Apex holds place claims based on his form of last August. Aversham is generally consistent but has not won since 2002, and Indian Steppes has only scored on the all-weather. Seneschal, who is fairly lightly raced, ran well from his revised mark last time, and is another to apply some thought to, while Will He Wish took a big step in the right direction last time at Doncaster, on the basis of which he must be considered too. Law Breaker continues to knock at the door and should do so again this evening, but Folio seems to have lost his way. Overall, though, unless the vibe is a distinctly negative one, we will stick with Unscrupulous.
