Some interesting types on show can be led home by Elmustanser, who is preferred over the newcomers Conviction and Fortune's Princess, who make plenty of appeal for future reference. The same has to be said of Tashreefat, who is a well-bred filly that will no doubt come into her own when she has more experience to draw on. So too will Zuri, who never managed to get competitive on her debut and is another that appears to need a little more time. In contrast to Elmustanser, who, as a half-brother to Dubai World Cup winner Almutawakel, has plenty to live up to from his pedigree. The three-year-old started to get the hang of things a little too late to alter the outcome of the result on his debut. But showed enough sparkle to suggest a race like this is a simple formality for him. Conviction also has a pedigree that will be suited to at least this trip and could be the only fly in the ointment if Elmustanser is again let down by his inexperience.
