Johnny Castle got off the mark in a maiden at Doncaster earlier this month but is now 4lb higher than when running Sound Amigo to three-quarters-of-a-length at Haydock previously. Poyle Punch is lightly-raced but has more to do than when winning a Kempton maiden and this is his first start on turf. Musselburgh runner-up Cape Classic is improving with experience, while Lamasaas won at Thirsk before finishing third at Musselburgh and should be thereabouts again. But we fancy top weight BASSETT ROAD to return to winning ways here for Tom Dascombe. The chestnut couldn't match the pace of Elusive Prince over 6f at Ripon last time but had impressed at Haydock earlier and scored over this trip at Wolverhampton in December.
