Verdict
Godolphin won this two years ago with the unraced In Footlights and have another likely sort here in EARL OF CARRICK. By Selkirk and closely related to winning milers Kindest and Just A Fluke, he should have the speed for this though his long-term future probably lies over further. Fellow newcomers Mafroodh and Raasekha are also worth noting if attracting market support while the best of those with experience looks to be Kirthill, though Luca Cumani's colt disappointed when favourite on his reappearance at Newbury in April and hasn't been seen since. Switchback was well beaten in a Polytrack maiden on his only start as a juvenile and may need more time.
