Lots of improving fillies lining up here and Paul Cole's STARFALA is selected to land it off a 7lb higher mark to the one she scored off last time out; Dramatic Solo, Mount Lavinia and Ornella appear to be the biggest dangers to the selection. Bidding for the hat-trick here, both Starfala's two victories have been achieved in good style, most notably her victory last time at Kempton where after been held-up she showed a sharp turn of foot to run down her rivals and win going away. Dramatic Solo was well placed to avail of a fast pace at Thirsk last time and is now 6lb higher. She has plenty of stamina and won't be found wanting for stamina come the business end. Ornella now looks in the grip of the handicapper and the step back up to 12 furlongs will need to bring about necessary improvement for her to score. Cosmea was not suited by the slow early pace which materialised at Salisbury and should she be ridden more prominently she will be a danger to all. Rio Guru has been disappointing having looked a filly of some promise earlier in the season and is another who should be suited by the step back up by 12 furlongs. Starfala is selected to land this fillies handicap.
