Nazeef didn't have much to do when scoring over 7f here in June nor when easily winning a novices' event over this trip at Chelmsford but there looks much more to come. SALAYEL was racing in the Emirates over the winter but has done very well since joining Roger Varian, finishing close-up in three Class 2 handicaps, and this is a drop in class. Astrologer was a comfortable winner here in July and took on slightly better company at Thirsk next time while Saikung has won two of her last four, though both at a lower grade than this and she didn't run well at Newbury last time.
