Verdict

Some lightly raced types who are open to plenty of improvement make this a difficult race to solve for punters but a tentative vote goes to Convex. Sir Michael Stoute's charge confirmed the merit of previous efforts to score convincingly over this trip at Catterick last time and there should be plenty to come from this likeable performer who has proved himself on the prevailing fast ground conditions. Major Speculation's limitations were exposed in a minor event last time and looks vulnerable off a stiffish mark so Spinsky, who makes his nursery debut off a potentially lenient mark, appears a bigger threat.
