Verdict

Russian Dance, a half-sister to the Racing Post Trophy winner Saratoga Springs and is sure to be straight enough to win first time up and can land this fillies' maiden. Amanda Perrett runs two here. The Red Ransom filly, Search Mission, who has a good pedigree, and there is also plenty to like about Du Pre, a daughter of Singspiel and who cost 42,000gns as a yearling. Richard Hannon runs the Cape Cross filly, Surf The Net and the field is completed by Ed Dunlop's Trompe l'Oeil, who is by Distant Relative out of a Dancing Brave mare. A fascinating race, in which the betting market might provide some clues to its outcome, but Russian Dance is taken to score for Sir Michael Stoute and Kieren Fallon. This is the race in which Sir Michael introduced Russian Rhythm to the racetrack last season.
